Memorial Day is a federal holiday that honors the men and women who have died while serving in the U.S. military, both during wartime and peacetime. It's observed on the last Monday of May each year.
Kern River Valley Cemetery holds it's Annual ceremony at 10:00am each year.
Veterans Day, celebrated on November 11th in the United States, is a federal holiday that honors all who have served in the military, both living and deceased. The holiday is a day to thank veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice.
Remember the fallen. Honor those who serve. Teach the next generation the value of freedom. Every December Sarge's Wreaths 4 Vets honors local veterans by placing a Wreath on their headstones.
